I figured out after making 3 of them that all you need to do is cut 23 to 24 inches width of fabric and batting...press it out and then press the center seam ( you could mark it with a ruler and pen if you wanted) and add your first 2 stripes face to face and sew...press open and sew again and again until you're done. I like to sew 1/4 stitching down both sides of the seam. I love the crinkle when it comes out of the dryer!
Our Principal was thrilled to get this one. I'm glad!
My girlfriend and I have made 4 table runners and I made this mini to give to our retiring teachers. The party is on Monday the 16th. Our school is one of 3 to be closing. Sad!
This is the pattern from the layer cake quilt along. I think it makes a great runner! I really love how a jelly roll can make a great runner too! I love it with the batiks.
Here is some of the pottery that I have made over the last 2 summers. I first took ceramics back in the 70's when I went to ASU. I have kept up with it off and on through the years. I just love it!
I have made 3 table runners for friends retiring and this will be a mini wall hanging for another friend. I just remembered yesterday one more girlfriend retiring this school year too...so one more runner to work on. I just don't know how to frame this mini with my fabrics.
