This is so much fun!
Draw a diagonal line down the center of your charm square. Sew 1/4 inch seam on either side. Cut down the center and turn and cut down the center line to equal 4 squares.

Press open and choose which 2 to sew back together.

Press open and trim to a 4 inch square.

I love when I can fix my squares.Then cut 4 by 1 1/2 inch strips and 1 1/2 squares.

Sew one strip on the right side and a strip plus square onto the bottom of the block. I saw this on Fons and Porter the other day and it is a great tip for sewing the sashing!!

Love your hourglass blocks, And now, of course, I want to drop everything and make some, too! I'ms such a copy cat!! Very, very pretty blocks. Do you have a plan for this yet? How many blocks are you making?
